Scripture
This year I've been teaching year 5 Scripture at Annandale North Primary School. I love it. The kids are lovely and are so open to hearing about Jesus. Our theme for the term has been 'love', and we've spent a number of weeks learning about God's love. But this week, we are going to be looking at how we are to love.
I've decided to spend tomorrows lesson looking at the good Samaritan. Pray that these kids would 'Go and do likewise'.

praise God for opportunities to teach local students about Jesus.
i pray that some of them would start coming to crossfire.
I think it's tops that you're doing scripture! The kids would love having someone young and cool (well, kinda cool...) All our scripture teachers were old and boring, which made God seem old and boring too.
I agree with David, bring on the continued growth of Crossfire!
Update: It went really well. I gave them 10 minutes to work out a play acting out the story - but they had to act it out in 60 seconds. Then we spent 10 mins thinking together what it meant. They had some excellent questions!
we did that passage in junior high scri[ture last year... we had a drama written called the parable of the good homeboy - there was a surfer beaten up... a couple of surfie mates walked past... but the homeboy stopped to help...
good times
